Behind an impressive start by Ken Brown, Milwaukee beat Philadelphia, 4-1. The winner was Brown. He threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The loser was Alfredo Morales. The Dairymen, at 46-62, inhabit 6th place in the National Baseball League Western Division.
Dennis Adams had a big 2-run home run for the Dairymen in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Milwaukee leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Alfredo Morales and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Dairymen on top, 3-0.
Said Philadelphia manager Jeff Green: "You just have to tip your cap sometimes."
