Seagulls Stay Hot With 3-1 Win
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the San Francisco Seagulls and Seattle Emeralds.
San Francisco Seagulls starter Tim Stambaugh found his groove in his team's 3-1 win over the Seattle Emeralds. In 7 innings, Stambaugh surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Archie Sereni picked up the save for San Francisco, his 7th of the year.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rick Stafne? The San Francisco left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Seagulls on top, 2-0. For the game, Stafne had 1 double and 1 single in 2 at-bats.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Stambaugh.
The current losing streak for Seattle has reached 6 games.
