Empires Top Wolverines, 1-0, Behind Frampton
|
The New York Empires picked up a win at Queens Field, taking down the Detroit Wolverines, 1-0. Starting pitcher Nate Frampton was a big reason why. The American Baseball League Eastern Division-leading Empires are 63-43.
Frampton picked up the win. He's now 10-4, after putting the Detroit offense in the deep freeze. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 2 hits.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Frampton told the New York Times.
