Dairymen Suffer 4-3 Road Loss
|
The Los Angeles Blockbusters picked up a win at Blockbuster Stadium, dropping the Milwaukee Dairymen, 4-3. Randy Medved, who is tied for 6th in the NBL in holds with 7, was the difference-maker. Medved, now 2-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Los Angeles is 55-56 and Milwaukee, with the loss, 42-68.
First Baseman Harvey Katzen made an impact for Los Angeles, when he swatted a 2-run double off John Gannon in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Katzen went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Randy was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch.
