Wranglers Lose By a Run at Los Angeles
Bob Powell brought his A-game to help Los Angeles defeat the Dallas Wranglers, 2-1. Powell picked up the win for Los Angeles, going 7.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. The Wranglers fall to 5-6 and continue their wobbly start to the 1972 season.

The Pobladores got a big at-bat from center fielder Joe Roberson. For the game, Roberson was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Los Angeles a 2-0 lead.
