Terriers Take Tight Tangle
The Boston Terriers took Dan Valenti's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. The final score had Boston getting past the Lords, 2-1, in 11 innings. Valenti over 7 innings allowed 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 7. The win belonged to Tom McAteer in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Efrain Roca took the loss for Baltimore. The win elevated the Terriers to 55-53.

The Terriers got a clutch hit from right fielder Booker Lee. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Terriers.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Boston manager Phil Palapa.
