Seattle pitcher Pat Burkholder did his part in helping his team defeat the Houston Drillers, 6-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Phil Moore snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-3 on the season. Tom McAteer suffered the loss. After today's action, Seattle sits at 51-59; Houston slips to 60-53.

Charlie Hall hit a run-scoring double off Tom McAteer in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Emeralds in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Hall had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
