|
The Twin Cities Northmen beat the Houston Drillers, 4-3, in part because of second baseman Chris Berman. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Gerald Gross got the win, improving to 5-10. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. The loss makes Houston 54-57.
Early in the game, Berman had a 3-run home run for Twin Cities. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Northmen on top, 3-0.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Berman told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
