Gary Ovitt pitched a gem to lead Atlanta to victory over the Baltimore Lords, 4-1. In 8.2 innings, Ovitt surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Atlanta has run its win streak to 5 straight.
Atlanta center fielder Matt Legrow helped the Generals go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Legrow hit a run-scoring single off Baltimore pitcher John Gannon.
