Pobladores Tuck Away 7-5 Win Over Twin Cities
|
Good production from left fielder Paul McCarthy helped the Los Angeles Pobladores topple the Twin Cities Northmen, 7-5. McCarthy was 1-3 with a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Pobladores. Leon Fairley earned the save, his 2nd. The loss drops Twin Cities to 2-9.
Ron Roseboro was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Los Angeles. The three-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a 2-run single off Ben Hall. It was his 7th hit of the season.
"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Pobladores," said McCarthy.
