Burros Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
The Los Angeles Blockbusters wasted an impressive 8-inning effort from starter Larry Mitchell, falling, 1-0, to the Denver Burros at Gates Crescent Park. The victory gives Denver a record of 63-47.

Jeff Munoz threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball for Denver. The three-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Larry Mitchell. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

Denver manager Clark Anderson called it "a darn good win."
