Denver turned a good effort from starter Bob Langham into a win over the Los Angeles Blockbusters at Blockbuster Stadium. The final score was 3-1. Frank Combs earned the save, his 20th in 21 tries. With the win over Los Angeles, the Burros improved to 72-40.

Denver used the hitting of Ron Roe to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Burros on top, 2-1. For the game, Roe had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.

"I thought Bob threw the ball well across the board," said Denver manager Clark Anderson.
