Northmen Get Past Los Angeles for 6-5 Win
Twin Cities beat Los Angeles at Twin Cities Stadium, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Carl Jacobs. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2. Twin Cities reliever Jeff Jordan snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Tony Novotny shouldered the loss. With the loss, Los Angeles is 6-6.

Had Steve Pavey not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Pavey hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Northmen.

After the game, Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
