The Boston Terriers trumped the Detroit Wolverines, 6-4, at Wolverine Field. Boston left fielder Ron Anderson was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Ken Torkelson, who is tied for 3rd in the ABL in complete games with 8, was the winner. He's now 6-13. The loser was Larry Black. Tim Jepperson got credit for the save for Boston. It was his 12th of the year.

The Terriers got a big at-bat from catcher Paul Knight. For the game, Knight went 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Boston a 4-2 lead.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Boston manager David Molina.

Boston is now 50-64, Detroit 66-46.
