Wet weather did not postpone the St. Louis-Milwaukee ballgame.

Milwaukee got a decent performance from pitcher Keith Williams, but it wasn't enough to beat the St. Louis Explorers. St. Louis won the Milwaukee Municipal Stadium contest, 5-3. Williams threw 9.0 innings allowing 5 runs for the losing team. Milwaukee's current losing streak is now 4 games.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the sixth, with the game tied, Gary Parker was at the plate when St. Louis scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Explorers to go in front, 2-1.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Parker.
