Crumm Crafts 2-0 Shutout
|
Dan Crumm shut out the Baltimore Lords, 2-0, on a 4-hit masterpiece for the Toronto Hurons at Dominion Field.
"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Toronto skipper Jim Burns said afterward.
Crumm registered 6 strikeouts and issued no walks in pitching a gem.
"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Baltimore manager Steve Read after the defeat.
