Blockbusters Come Up Short at Chicago, 3-2
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Chicago Traders and Los Angeles Blockbusters.
In a tight contest between the Chicago Traders and the Los Angeles Blockbusters, Jose Mojica was the determining factor. The Chicago right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Mojica, now 15-6, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Sammy Mason earned the save, his 8th in 11 tries.
Chicago took a 3-2 lead on John Seidler's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Seidler hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Los Angeles pitcher Rick McStay visibly frustrated.
"I didn't leave too many pitches out over the plate," said Mojica.
Chicago improves to 67-48 with the win. They lead their division by 3 games.
