Bobcats Stumble, Lose to Knickerbockers
The home crowd had a good time watching the Cleveland Bobcats and New York Knickerbockers get after it.

The timely hitting of Bob Underwood helped the New York Knickerbockers down the Cleveland Bobcats, 10-3. Underwood was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for the Knickerbockers. Ray Schifsky picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-5. He struck out 1 in 6 innings.

Steve Hudson was 1-5. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for New York. The 28-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a 2-run single off Myron Baird. It was his 104th hit of the season.

"Solid performance from our side," said Knickerbockers manager Timothy Widholm.

The Knickerbockers improved their record to 65-48 with the win over Cleveland.
