Rick McStay, who is tied for 10th in the ABL in strikeouts with 107, was terrific for the Houston Drillers in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Twin Cities Northmen. His performance earned McStay rave reviews. Houston goes to 62-53, Twin Cities to 53-61.

Wade Fields had a big run-scoring double for the Drillers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Houston leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from former first round draft pick Roger Long and swatted a double to left. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Drillers ahead, 3-1.

"Rick has got a slow heartbeat," said Houston manager Jared Placeholder. "He doesn't panic or anything."
