Ronnebaum Performance to No Avail in 8-7 Blockbusters Loss
The Brooklyn Bluebirds spoiled a good performance by Los Angeles left fielder Ernie Ronnebaum, bumping off Los Angeles, 8-7, at Blockbuster Stadium. Ronnebaum hit 3 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring three times. The Blockbusters, now 3-9, continue their slow start.

Dave Teckenbrock threw 8.2 innings allowing 6 runs for Brooklyn. The fan favorite had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Billy Duprey. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager John Meeker.
