The Los Angeles Pobladores picked up a win at Puget Field, downing the Seattle Emeralds, 3-2, in 12 innings. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Dave Wynn, who played a pivotal role in the win. Phil Lester, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. The Pobladores, now 4-8, have not found much traction so far in 1977.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Joe Roberson? The 27-year old center fielder Roberson stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put Los Angeles up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 6, including 1 double and 1 single.
