A good performance from center fielder Tom Wade helped the Detroit Wolverines defeat the New York Empires, 9-3. Wade went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Wolverines. The winning pitcher was Larry Black. His record is now 1-1.
