Generals Bridle Northmen, 4-3
|
Scott Dubyak, who finished 3rd in the ABL in ERA with 2.46 in 1969, was locked in. The left-hander led the Atlanta Generals to a 4-3 win against the Twin Cities Northmen at Atlantic Station Field. Dick McCranie wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save. The loss drops Twin Cities to 6-6.
Danny Bleicher, who finished 4th in the ABL in stolen bases with 34 in 1969, helped out the Atlanta cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.
"I'm happy we won," said Dubyak. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
