The Houston Drillers and Seattle Emeralds played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

The Houston Drillers eked out a 2-1 win versus the Seattle Emeralds at Sam Houston Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Francisco Castro. He was terrific. The Houston win streak is now 3 games.

Had Jim Johnson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Johnson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Drillers.

"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Castro.
