Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Twin Cities Northmen and Baltimore Lords.
The Twin Cities Northmen faced a tough opponent in Baltimore pitcher Pete Veirs, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Seton Hill Stadium by a final score of 6-4. Veirs went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Rick Lindstrom finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Juan Alicea provided a timely hit. The Twin Cities pinch hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Northmen on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Alicea told the Twin Cities Gazette.
With this game in the books, Twin Cities is 51-63, Baltimore 49-65.
