The Denver Burros had no problem beating the Milwaukee Dairymen, 13-3, at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. Bobby Raley, who is a five-time All-Star, led the onslaught. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for Denver. Willie Purter earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. The loss drops Milwaukee to 0-2.

With Denver leading 7-0 in the top of the fourth, Raley came up to bat against Milwaukee pitcher Ollie Aldredge. Raley hit a sinker to right for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Burros on top, 10-0.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Raley after the game.
