The Seattle Emeralds scooped up a win at Puget Field, dumping the Los Angeles Pobladores, 3-2. Denny Goldberg, who is tied for 8th in the ABL in innings pitched with 172.2, was essential to his team's success. The Emeralds saw their record improve to 53-60.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Seattle right fielder Alex Rojas, facing Dave Wynn, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Emeralds the 3-2 win.

Goldberg called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
