The Montreal Habitants clipped the Boston Terriers, 3-2, in 10 innings at LaSalle Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Montreal pitcher and Waco, Texas, native Dave Quigley. Montreal reliever Hervé Lelièvre picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Larry Alexander was saddled with the loss. The Terriers, at 36-78, have lost 6 in a row.

The Habitants got a clutch hit from second baseman Roberto Alvarez. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Habitants.

"We're one win closer to our goal," Quigley said in postgame remarks.
