Emeralds Get Hard-Earned Win
The Emeralds grabbed a win, 4-3, at Puget Field, overcoming a fine effort from Dallas pitcher Barry Gilmore. Gilmore went 9 innings and allowed 3 runs. Seattle reliever Bernie Underwood was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Jack Pace. With the win, the Emeralds hiked their record to 58-55.

The Emeralds got a clutch hit from catcher Al Link. In the bottom of the 15th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Emeralds.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Link.
