Blockbusters Need Extra Innings to Top Burros, 12-11
The Los Angeles Blockbusters had to overcome a big game from Denver first baseman John Crabtree to leave Gates Crescent Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 12-11, in 16 innings. Crabtree belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Los Angeles, now 54-62, holds down 5th place in the National Baseball League Western Division.

Los Angeles used the clutch hitting of George Schindler to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 16th inning to give the Blockbusters the lead, 10-9. For the game, Schindler had 1 single and 1 double in 9 at-bats.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager John Trausch.
