Blockbusters Upend Burros, 7-6
Despite a great performance by Denver second baseman Chuck Carr, the Los Angeles Blockbusters defeated the Burros by the score of 7-6 at Gates Crescent Park. Carr was 1-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Cardell Franklin, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 5 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 2-1. The loss has the Burros at 8-4.

The Blockbusters benefited from a costly error in the top of the fifth. With Paul Popeck at bat and Los Angeles leading 6-4, the Denver miscue allowed Los Angeles to plate 1 and take the lead, 7-4.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Popeck.
