Bluebirds Get Thrilling 5-4 Win
Thanks in large part to second baseman Toby Golf, the Brooklyn Bluebirds beat the Washington Eagles, 5-4. Golf went 5 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Brooklyn reliever Bill Keiser was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Billy Gray took the loss. Washington now owns a losing streak of 5 games.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Golf hit a changeup from Billy Gray for a run-scoring single. The Bluebirds, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Washington manager Brandon Tucker.
