Montreal Sends Toronto Packing with 3-1 Loss
In a low-scoring contest, Montreal pitcher Erv Koenig was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. Al Johns earned the save, his 26th, for the Habitants. The Habitants win now puts them at 57-58.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Habitants had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when shortstop Oscar Corte hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Dan Crumm and made the score 2-0, Habitants. Corte was 1-3.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Corte said.
