The Montreal Habitants got a superb performance from pitcher Lawrence Connor, but the Boston Terriers still won the game, 3-2. Connor threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Dave Hipwell picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-1 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 4 in 7 innings, while yielding 2 runs. With the win, the Terriers are 38-78.

Had Gary Williams not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Williams hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Terriers.

"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Terriers manager Jonah Placeholder.
