Twin Cities Defeated By Hurons, 5-3
|
The Toronto Hurons used the hitting of center fielder Jorge Luna to subdue the Twin Cities Northmen, 5-3. For the game, Luna went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Steve Persenaire sewed up the save, his 7th. The Hurons now own a record of 54-62.
With Toronto leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Luna hit a fastball from Ben Hall for a 3-run home run. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Hurons ahead, 5-0.
After the game, Toronto manager Jim Burns applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
