The Los Angeles Blockbusters had no problem beating the St. Louis Explorers, 16-3, at Blockbuster Stadium. Ernie Ronnebaum, who finished 3rd in the NBL in runs with 110 last year, led the onslaught. He went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for Los Angeles. Larry Messenger, who is tied for 2nd in the NBL in quality starts with 18, was the winning pitcher.
