The Kansas City Bulls beat the Chicago Traders, 3-2, in 11 innings. Kansas City pitcher and Longview, Texas, native Tim McDonald led the way. Kansas City reliever Dennis Greenlee picked up the win, raising his record to 4-1. Vern Hensley was tagged with the loss. The Bulls now have a record of 62-54 with the win over Chicago.

Dave Tislow came through with a big-time hit for Kansas City. The second baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," McDonald said.
