Bulls Top Traders in Extras, 4-2
|
The Kansas City Bulls topped the Chicago Traders, 4-2, in 11 innings at Union Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kansas City third baseman Bob Rawlins. Kansas City reliever Pedro Nunez picked up the win, upping his record to 5-6. Randy Weisenberg took the loss. The Bulls go to 66-53, putting them second in the National Baseball League Western Division.
Kansas City needed the clutch hitting of Chris Taylor to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Bulls on top, 3-2. For the game, Taylor had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
In postgame remarks, Rawlins simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
