Brown Shuts Out Houston, 6-0
The Houston Drillers were almost helpless in their 6-0 loss to the Dallas Wranglers and hurler Mike Brown. Brown kept the Drillers confused all game, spinning a 6-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Brown," Houston manager Steven Palps said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 28-year-old right-hander had 4 walks and 3 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Brown said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

Brown has posted a 3-1 record for the year with a 1.35 ERA. Teams are hitting .213 against him and he has rung up 27 strikeouts in 66.2 innings.
