Eagles Rally Late to Nip Industrials
Keith MacPherson did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Pittsburgh Industrials from being beaten, 4-3, to the Washington Eagles at Monument Field. MacPherson went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Alex Fonseca. He went 9 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. The left--hander struck out 4 and walked 3. Pittsburgh drops to 7-5.

Jesus Olvera was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Eagles catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Olvera called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
