Industrials Slap 6-2 Loss on Cincinnati
Pittsburgh picked up a win at Allegheny Field, bumping off the Cincinnati Packers, 6-2. Pitcher Marty Clark was a major reason the Industrials emerged victorious. Pittsburgh reliever Denny Grissinger picked up the win to move to 5-3. Alex Fonseca suffered the loss. Pittsburgh, at 68-51, is 5 games up in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.

Had Johnny Flakes not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Flakes hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Industrials.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Clark. "It sure beats the alternative."
