Pobladores Get Clutch Win, 8-7
The Dallas Wranglers got a superb performance from second baseman Toby Golf, but the Los Angeles Pobladores still won the game, 8-7. Golf was 2 for 4 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Leon Fairley earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 1-0. The Wranglers fall to 5-7 and continue to sputter in the early going.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Los Angeles. That's when Joe Roberson hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Ken Craig to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Roberson. "I like it."
