Traders Get Clutch Win Versus Kansas City
Chicago Traders starter Skip Crawford turned in an exceptional performance against the Kansas City Bulls at Union Field, resulting in a Chicago win, 3-2. Crawford, who led the NBL in strikeouts with 185 in 1973, went the distance for Chicago. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. The Traders are now 60-61.

John Seidler was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Traders first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Skip had good arm action, good stuff," said Chicago manager Larry Link.
