Northmen Earn Late 4-3 Win
|
Los Angeles wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Dave Wynn, falling to the Twin Cities Northmen, 4-3. Wynn threw 8.2 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Twin Cities now sits at 56-63, while Los Angeles falls to 63-58.
The decisive blow was delivered by Chris Berman in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick Leon Fairley to win the game for Twin Cities. The home crowd went nuts.
"This ballpark was lit," Berman said.
