Starting pitcher Roger Scherf pitched well enough to help the Cleveland Bobcats beat the Pittsburgh Industrials, 5-4. Scherf got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 10 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. He allowed 4 runs. The Industrials, at 4-9, have stumbled out of the gate.
