Captains Suffer One-Run Loss at Kansas City
Fans watched the Kansas City Bulls and the San Diego Captains fight to the finish.

The 6-5 Kansas City win over San Diego was due in large part to Haskell McLemore. The Bulls left fielder was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Kansas City reliever Bob Crosby picked up the win, raising his record to 3-5. Ken Craig was tagged with the loss.

Kansas City took a 6-5 lead on Dave Tislow's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Tislow hit in the bottom of the eighth, left San Diego pitcher Ken Craig visibly frustrated.

"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said McLemore.

With the win, Kansas City has a record of 67-54. San Diego falls to 59-62.
