Knickerbockers Lose Big to Bobcats, 11-2
The Cleveland Bobcats defeated the New York Knickerbockers, 11-2. Doing his part was first baseman Mark Bassett, who went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Myron Baird, who finished 5th in the NBL in wins with 18 last year, was the winner. He's now 13-9. The loser was Dario Fontanez. The Bobcats are now 78-43, while the Knickerbockers fall to 59-61.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the top of the second. That's when Bobcats pitcher Myron Baird hit a fastball from Dario Fontanez for a 2-run single. Just like that, Cleveland was up, 3-2.
