A 4-RBI performance from third baseman Alex Martinez, who is tied for 3rd in the NBL in RBI with 79, led the Denver Burros to a win over the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 10-6. Denver reliever Ralph Weintraub picked up the win, upping his record to 5-5. Paul Carter was saddled with the loss. After today's action, Denver sits at 59-61, while Los Angeles falls to 48-72.

Denver took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Kevin Gunn hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Burros in front, 3-2.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Burros manager Clark Anderson.
