Victory Pushes Knickerbockers Record to 66-56
|
New York Knickerbockers pitcher Chris Hull was in top form, leading his team past the Philadelphia Quakers, 8-1. The Quakers, at 60-59, have lost 4 straight games.
New York used the hitting of Bob Underwood to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Knickerbockers on top, 3-0. For the game, Underwood had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
