Sisson, Drillers Beat Hawks, 8-0

The Houston Drillers and Chicago Hawks completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Houston Drillers powered past the Chicago Hawks, 8-0, at Sam Houston Field. Mark Sisson provided some of the pop. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The winning pitcher was Dick Knight. His record now stands at 1-2. The right-hander went 7.1 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits for the Drillers.
Early in the game, Sisson had a 3-run home run for Houston. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Drillers on top, 3-0.
"We played hard and won," said Sisson. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
The win puts Houston at 6-7.
