Cleveland shortstop Ernie Wilkins collected 4 ribbies while his team bumped off the Pittsburgh Industrials, 7-5, in 14 innings. Steve Cheatham earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. The Industrials, now 4-8, continue their inauspicious start.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 14th. With two out, Wilkins hit a fastball from Gordie Kleiss for a 2-run home run. The Bobcats, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Wilkins said.
