Alan Romano was a major contributor to the 7-6 Cleveland win over New York. The Bobcats right fielder went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Paul Darch came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 10-9. Frank Rudin earned the save for Cleveland, his 4th of the year.

Cleveland took a 7-6 lead on Pete Morrison's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Morrison hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New York pitcher Brian Williams visibly frustrated.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Romano, "one at-bat at a time."

With the win, Cleveland has a record of 65-56. New York falls to 59-63.
