The Atlanta Generals powered past the New York Empires, 11-5, at Queens Field. Preston Lee was 1-1 with 4 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. The victory gives the Generals a record of 62-60.
Atlanta second baseman John Darnell helped the Generals go up, 6-5, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Darnell hit a run-scoring single off New York pitcher Larry Stanford.
