With 4-1 Win, Northmen Improve to 7-6
|
Kim Glanden, who is a two-time All-Star, imposed his will on the Pobladores from the get-go. Relying mainly on his sinker, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-1 Twin Cities triumph. The winning pitcher was Glanden, now 1-2. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Los Angeles is 6-7 after the defeat.
Twin Cities took a 4-1 lead on Buddy Shingleton's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Shingleton hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Los Angeles pitcher Larry Seger visibly frustrated.
Shingleton called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
