Bulls Win with Late Rally
The Kansas City Bulls did just enough to sneak past the San Diego Captains, 5-4, at San Diego Sporting Complex. Kansas City pitcher Waldo Hardaway, in particular, had a standout performance. Dave Fields earned his 2nd save in 3 chances. The Bulls bumped their record to 68-56 with this latest triumph.

Kansas City took a 5-4 lead on Haskell McLemore's 30th home run of the season. The solo home run, which McLemore hit in the top of the 12th, left San Diego pitcher Ed Payne visibly frustrated.

"Waldo is a gamer," said Kansas City manager DD Martin.
