New York Nets 3-2 Win Versus Hurons
The Toronto Hurons went down to defeat to Pete Ragsdale and his New York teammates. The final score was 3-2, in favor of the Empires. The win lifted the New York record to 62-61.

Had Lowell Bickle not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Bickle hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Empires.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Ragsdale told the New York Herald.
