The Twin Cities Northmen grabbed a win, 5-4, over the Seattle Emeralds at Twin Cities Stadium. Twin Cities left fielder Greg Clement went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Emeralds, at 59-65, have lost 5 in a row.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Twin Cities trailing 4-2, Clement jumped on a fastball from 33-year old right-handed pitcher Fred Wild and hit a 3-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the Northmen had a walk-off win.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Seattle manager Mark Velez.
