Terriers Get 3-2 Win Versus Dallas
|
The Boston Terriers knocked off the Dallas Wranglers, 3-2, in American Baseball League action at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Boston pitcher and Walters, Oklahoma, native Jimmy Trent had an outstanding performance. Trent, the winner, moves to 3-4. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. Layton Taylor was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 13 save opportunities.
Paul Knight helped out the Boston cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the catcher drew 2 walks.
"I take a professional approach to my job," said Trent. "I've been around this game for a while."
The Terriers improved their record to 52-74 by beating Dallas.
